Condition Insight Reports (CIRs)

A Condition Insight Report (CIR) is an internal document that provides detailed information about a specific condition, including symptoms and potential impacts on daily life. These reports are produced and updated periodically in collaboration with stakeholder groups for exclusive use by health professionals trained in disability assessment medicine.

Below, you can find copies of CIRs previously produced and updated by Capita. These were used to support the previous Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Assessment Service (ended on 6 September 24), and the new Health Assessment Advisory Service for a limited time (commenced 7 September 24).

Please note the following when accessing the CIRs below:

• These CIRs are no longer in use and have been replaced by new versions owned by DWP.
• They do not represent a comprehensive list of all conditions considered during the assessment of function.
• Reasonable efforts were made to ensure accuracy at the time of production, but they may not reflect the latest understanding of a condition.
• The CIRs published below will not be updated or maintained.
• These documents were produced for internal use only and are not available in alternative or accessible formats.
• The names of individuals have been redacted.

The current CIRs used by our health professionals for delivery of the new Health Assessment Advisory Assessment Service are owned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
